HQP Rules extended to Malta's Aviation Executives

The successful HQP rules have been extended to include highly-qualified persons in the aviation industry, including Aviation Continuing Airworthiness Inspectors, Aviation Operations Inspector, Aviation Ground Operations Manager, Aviation Training Manager, CEO, CFO, COO and CMO.

Malta Tax Aviation
The first HQP rules were first introduced as tax incentives to attract highly qualified persons in the financial services industry to join Malta's growing regulated financial services operations. They were later on extended to cover equivalent most senior posts in the online gaming industry and the digital gaming industry.
The aviation HQP rules now also apply to eligible offices held with Malta companies licensed and/or recognised by the Malta Civil Aviation (Air Operators Certicates) Act.

Under these Malta Aviation incentives, an attractive flat personal tax rate of 15% applies to salaried individuals occupying senior executive positions in the aviation sector and having a minimum income of Euro75,000, as adjusted annually to the RPI.  Malta has been experiencing a marked growth in registration of aircraft in its register and is expecting continuing growth in this area.
