Everyone believes the taxes in California and Illinois are usually outrageous, hence in an attempt to sustain overall tax rates from expanding, it appears as if you will find there's contest between the two on who will create the most hilarious (albeit, definitely not funny to taxpayers of these states) tax laws. And that's exactly the way in which acquire a candy tax! The only reasonable solution to make up the revenue would be to put in force a candies tax. This is definitely correct, these states have implemented a sales tax on specific sweets that "have no nutrients and vitamins."
